Day 1 - Sydney Carnarvon Gorge
Our journey begins with an early departure from Sydney flying northward, stopping at Moree to refuel before continuing on to Carnarvon Gorge. After lunch we join our guide for a tour of the park with its ancient aboriginal art carvings and spectacular scenery. Carnarvon Wilderness Lodge (BLD)

Day 2 - Carnarvon Gorge -. Longreach
Our journey now takes us northwest to the regional centre of Longreach. Here we visit the Stockman's Hall of Fame, the Qantas Museum and as a treat - a dinner cruise on the Thompson River. Jumbuck Motel (BLD)

Day 3 - Longreach - Birdsville -. Innaminka
From Longreach we fly across the channel country and the famous Diamantina River to the iconic outback town of Birdsville. After having a beer in the pub we join our guide for the journey out in the Simpson Desert to “Big Red” renowned as the largest single sand hill in Australia. Off in the distance all you will see are endless red sand dunes. Upon return to the town we visit the Birdsville Museum where you will experience a working museum with it quirky exhibits. Mid afternoon we rejoin the aircraft for the flight to Innaminka. It was here that the famous Burke & Wills expedition left the “dig tree”. Innaminka Hotel (BLD)

Day 4 - Innaminka - Sydney
This morning we cruise on Coopers Creek, to the “Kings Grave”. On the river you will be amazed at the abundance of birdlife, the cool waters a stark contrast to the harsh red environment. Upon returning to Innaminka we have lunch and a cool drink in the hotel before re-boarding the aircraft for the homeward journey.
