Day 1 - Sydney - Mungo National Park
The tour begins with a departure from Sydney flying across the
south western plains to Mungo National Park. Upon arrival we are
taken out into the park for the remainder of the day. Of special
interest are the Walls of China - a huge wall of sand and mud that
extends for 30kms and rises some 60 to 70 feet high. For those
interested in Aboriginal history, our tour includes a visit to
the 40.000 year old middens. Mungo Lodge (LD)

Our Morning flight takes us into the Flinders Ranges to Wilpena
Pound. The rest of the day is spent touring this wonder; of particular

view from Stokes lookout. Rawnsley Park Station (BLD)
Day 3 - Wilpena Pound - Ceduna - Eucla
After departing Rawnsley Park we fly across the Gawler Ranges to
Ceduna. Originally called Murat Bay by French explorer Nicholas
Boudin, the town is the hub of a large cereal growing area. After
refuelling the aircraft then flies parallel with the coast to the
small hamlet of Eucla on the Western Australia border. Eucla is
a small settlement that typifies communities along the Nullarbor
Plain. Established in around 1877 as a relay station for the transcontinental
Telegraph, it formed an imported link between the eastern states
and Western Australia. It was chosen because it possessed one of
the few places along the coast where it is possible to reach the
waters edge thus allowing food and provisions to be easily delivered.

the aircraft will stop at Forrest to refuel, with a planned arrival
into Esperance around lunchtime. Esperance was founded in 1860
and is situated on the shores of a beautiful bay which is renown
for its postcard blue water. After touring the town we are taken

one of the many sandy beaches for which the area is sc famous.

home of one of the most popular attactions in Western Australia

Because Perth offers such a diverse range of activities and sights
we have not arranged any planned tour today; rather we have left
it to individual taste. However we would suggest that the morning
could be spent in and around perth’s centre with perhaps
an afternoon cruise on the Swan River. Tradewinds Hotel (BD)
